Super Sunday Uptown
~The parade, filled with magnificently feathered and beaded Black Indian gangs from across the city, takes off from the park at 1 pm. The procession, which includes the Hot 8 and TBC brass bands, members of the Young Men Olympian Benevolent Society and the Lady Buckjumpers Social Aid & Pleasure Club and more, makes a "circle route": adds "Super" level to their SOA!
~This week, rolled out a new award to journalists who resist blaming the 2005 New Orleans flood on a storm, AND who properly attribute the levee system’s failure to the entity responsible for its performance – the federal government (Army Corps).
