The Fourth Battle of New Orleans ~Mark Folse, Oddwords~The issue is: where do we draw a line in the sand? New Orleans is
undergoing an ugly, greed-fueled transformation I predicted almost ten
years ago on my blog Wet Bank Guide. Many things have been proposed
since the storm in the name of redevelopment. Sean Cummings’ Elisio
Lofts, another high-rise abomination at the foot of Elysian Fields, was
stopped. The redevelopment of the old Holy Cross School site with
another inappropriately sited high-rise proposed by Perez APC, has just
won approval from the New Orleans City Council.
Enough.
Enough.
