Parishioners occupy two Catholic parishes~At St. Henry, an Uptown parish of about 325 families, a handful of parishioners took the first overnight shift of what they described as an open-ended occupation intended to save their church. And at nearby Our Lady of Good Counsel, with about 400 families, some parishioners began signing up to do the same after their last Mass Sunday night.

Investigators find Iraqi waste management project over budget, late~The Corps of Engineers has repeatedly promoted the project as a remarkable success. In April, for example, a news release said the project had been started in May 2007 and would serve all the homes in Fallujah. In fact, investigators found, the project was begun in June 2004 and was supposed to have been finished in 18 months.
