Power, politics, gossip on daily call ~John F. Harris “Wahzgoanawn?” ~So begins another morning in what may count as Washington’s longest-running conversation — a street-corner bull session between four old friends who suddenly find themselves standing once more at the busiest intersection of politics and media in Washington.
*Carville calls White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel.
*Emanuel calls ABC News Chief Washington
Correspondent *George Stephanopoulos.
*A bit later, CNN commentator Paul Begala,
who is not quite the early bird that his friends are, will complete the circle with a rapid set of calls to all three. Different versions of this round-robin chatter have been taking place, with few interruptions, every workday for nearly a generation.

~The Exquisite Corps of Engineers has approved plans to build a floodgate and levee to block storm surge from entering the vulnerable Company Canal in Westwego, replacing a temporary gate that leaked during Hurricane Gustav.

More BS found in the “stimulus” package~Kevin Colby~Overview of some of the major items found in this bill in terms of spending.
~Editilla Crowellas~ I personally dig most of what is on this HUGE list Colby derrides, and consider the National Resource to be our Citizen Infrastructure. This Land Is Our Land. Jus'sayin...
I think it better to invest in Americans across the country rather than a few high-finance schmucks or desert pirates.
Everyone knows Editilla t'inks the Exquisite Corps should be stopped in their junkie tracks and not allowed another fix until we have the perps who built our failed levees in jail, the cause of those failures on 8/29/05 thoroughly investigated, and the decentralization of the Exquisite Corps of Engineers from our National Civil Engineering / Flood Control / Wetlands Policy.
Anything less is just blowing smoke up a Flying Dutchman's Ass.

New Orleans named one of 15 Coolest North American Cities
~Lauren Wilbert

{"If you could write a short paragraph telling the world why the Big Easy is a "cool city," how would that read?}

Editilla O'Goddessas~ now it's started!
Thundering Ya'Herds of hip'cool. OK...we'll bite it.
~~Hello World! Why the Big Easy is a "cool city"? Why? Why? Because you have to ask, that's why. Because it Ain't Cool.
New Orleans is no longer Big, Easy or COOL.
Yaaaahhhhgggg... Well, errrah, because I used to never fear bumping into "cool" people, as we dripped the night wearing our hearts on our sleeves, leaf to leaf, club to club, dancing neutral grounds covered by the scent of jasmine, a breath of coffee and Bloody Mary coughing on a banquette by the gate of white class lace. Cool is to New Orleans as Aspertain is to Sugar Cane, as a pig is to lipstick, as Punchline is to a 2nd Line, as sex to orgazm,
Love to addiction, hero to a po'boy, as the reader is to the writer.
...as Flakes to Serial Killers of Culture...

Inside the Life of a Glam Makeup Artist ~"Hi Guys, I am Brandy Gomez-Duplessis and I'm a MAKEUP ARTIST! I always wanted to say that. I am based out of New Orleans and decided to start a blog last year.
This blog started out for my best friend Wendy in NYC.
My friends don't understand what my life is like. Plus, I can vent and share with them what's going on with me as I re-brand myself after losing everything in Katrina. It's my life, being a makeup artist with dreams of being an A-list makeup artist and doing it all from New Orleans.
