~Suggested solutions may have varied, but most people who spoke at a public meeting Thursday evening agreed on the central problem — the system of getting levee and coastal restoration projects built doesn’t work.

NO Archdiocese moves to start Phase-2.1 of its Real Estate Portfolio Re-allignment (REPR): Raze their abandoned churches!
~"It's almost become a nuisance though, the archdiocese has done everything in its power to mitigate damage, to keep the building secure," said archdiocese spokesperson Sarah Comiskey. "But we want to make sure we are good neighbors, and the recommendation of our property management office is to demolish Annunciation, for the safety of the community and for the good of that neighborhood."
However, community activist Karen Gadbois said the archdiocese has done little to involve the neighborhood.
"I think the archdiocese needs to open up a dialogue with the neighbors about what they would like to see happen, and revitalize the community and not just abandon it and not just leave a vacant lot," Gadbois said.
"Many of us who live work or attend one of the many Churches which dot the City have been worried about what may happen to these significant buildings. I know when I purchased my home it was, in part, because of the church which is located across the street from me."
