N.O. students write, act out their own Epic Flood Odysseys

~The students, mostly freshmen, started by reading portions of Homer's Odyssey. Working in groups, they then wrote their own "Louisiana Epics" about heroes returning to New Orleans post-Flood. They followed the characteristics of the form: An opening invocation to a muse, vast and varied settings, a hero with superhuman powers and a fatal flaw.

The planet Pluto told me to tell you that it should be Plutonian Mac, not Putonian Mac, in the posts of the dancer you so kindly put up. Pluto is already suffering from a complex after having been reduced to a dwarf planet, so please humor him.

D'OH! I thought it was Pluto's twin Puto, to whom the elder would also refer to as "My little Pucca"! Hahahahahaha well that explains A Lot.

Pluto is still a planet. Only four percent of the International Astronomical Union voted on the controversial demotion, and most are not planetary scientists. Their decision was immediately rejected in a formal petition by hundreds of professional astronomers. This debate is very much ongoing.
