---BP Executives Still At Large
~The Advocate~ BP’s latest plan to capture oil from a massive leak in the Gulf of Mexico could result in a temporary increase of up to 20 percent in the oil flow until the containment dome is in place, government scientists said Monday.
Also Monday, U.S. Rep. Edward J. Markey, D-Mass., gave Tony Hayward, BP’s chief executive officer, until Friday to provide proof that there are no underwater oil plumes. Hayward has denied the existence of the plumes while scientists say they’ve found them in the Gulf. In another development, BP admitted that drilling on the second relief well was still suspended even though reports on the Deepwater Horizon’s federal response website say it’s continuing.

LA Attorney General seeks cash, power to hire outside lawyers in fight against Gulf oil spill
~Bill Barrow~"You've got to hire experts now," he said in an interview last week, explaining that evidence of damage changes every day. "You want your people on the ground now. ... And BP is already out there trying to hire some of the same experts. (And) you've got to get the best lawyers. They're going to have lawyers that charge $1,000 an hour. I want something close to a level playing field."

What I am wondering is, as Mother Earth bleeds out (oil leak), what will happen to the space it has created? Will the ocean floor collapse? Is anyone thinking about this?
I've wondered that myself, Mz. Wizer.
It is argued that such depletion has contributed to the Land Falling in South Louisiana contributing to the wetland losses.
Thus it should be studied if this could effect tectonic plates. This well is within 5-700 miles of some of the most devastating volcanoes and earthquakes to have happened in this hemisphere.
For one thing, even BP might not know just how big is the Find, the Oil Field etc. And if they did know the size of this cavern of oil, try prying That bit of Intel outta these limey perps.
We'd probably have to just kill them, preferably by waterboarding them with their own oil from the Gulf.
