When Levees Fail
Megan Sever, Geotimes

~Editilla Notellas~ We re-posted this article, from 1 year after the Flood, for a number of reasons. Chiefly its salience remains in light of the Re-Introduction of the 8/29 Investigation Act to this New Congress. Unfortunately our legislative delegation allowed this vital legislation to starve to death in committee last year. Landrieu submitted the bill at the urging and hand-feeding of her own constituency, then promptly stuffed the Bill into the drawer. But we have an even golder opportunity to have this legislation passed. Please check with Levees.org to work for the current disposition and passage of this important legislation.
